With over two decades of experience, Dr. Azeez Gaurav Swarup is a dedicated dental practitioner. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with honors from Boston University Henry M School of Dental Medicine in 2015. Dr. Swarup initiated his dental education at Manipal College of Dental Sciences in India, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2002.
His interest in orthodontics flourished during his tenure as a senior lecturer at a dental school in India. To further specialize, he pursued a residency in the Department of Orthodontics and Children’s Prosthetics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, earning his Masters degree in 2007. During this time, he actively participated in conferences, symposiums, and completed an externship at Boston University’s Orthodontic Department.
Returning to India, Dr. Swarup served as a consultant orthodontist in Delhi, NCR, before establishing his private practice in New Delhi, focusing on general dentistry and orthodontics. In 2011, he became an assistant professor in the Department of Orthodontics in the Middle East. Later, in 2015, he completed his Advanced Standing DMD from Boston University and has since contributed his expertise to dental practices in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
In 2021, Dr. Swarup relocated to Penticton, BC, with his family, embracing the opportunity to be an integral part of and contribute to the South Okanagan community. His professional affiliations include membership in esteemed organizations such as the British Columbia Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, New Hampshire Dental Society, European Orthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontics, World Federation of Orthodontics, and the Professional Society of Orthodontists of Russia.
